Happy New Year! As we say goodbye to 2011, I want to thank Ann Camero and her Board for another successful year. I also want to welcome you to the Philadelphia Association for Financial Professionals’ (PAFP) website.
For over three decades the PAFP has been providing professional and technical education in treasury management subjects and offering its members a forum for the exchange of information. Our members are professionals in the treasury and finance field and represent a wide range of responsibilities and industries.
The PAFP meetings, held the second Wednesday of each month, feature guest speakers who present the most timely topics and issues in the treasury field. Every September, a business card exchange is held, providing an opportunity to share ideas and information with our metropolitan Philadelphia colleagues. Once a year, the PAFP sponsors the Trea$ury Initiatives Conference, which provides a day-long series of educational lectures and presentations to enhance the skills and knowledge of treasury professionals. Members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings, business card exchange, annual conference, and to volunteer with the association.
Two other services we provide to our members: Career Job Postings, a list of treasury positions submitted by employers and recruiting firms; and the CTP Exam Prep through Villanova University, which helps candidates to prepare for the CTP examination.
