Chris Holland is ARAMARK's Vice President & Treasurer. His responsibilities include Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Business Development as well as all aspects of the Treasury function. Holland joined ARAMARK in 2003 from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where he had held positions of increasing responsibility since 1988. Most recently, Holland served as Vice President, Investment Banking, where he had primary responsibility for managing J.P.
Morgan's investment banking relationships with companies in the medical device sector, helping them with mergers and acquisitions and the underwriting of debt and equity securities. Holland earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science at Drew University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University. Holland is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia.
Mr. Holland will speak on the "Trends in private equity and the global capital markets driving LBO activity". His talk will cover the growth of the private equity funds and its effect on M&A activity. He will focus on private equity fund liquidity sources and likely conditions in the future.
The deal size for private equity M&A has been increasing leading to more interaction between private equity firms combing to do club deals.
He will focus specifically on the aspects that made the Aramark deal make sense for going private. Stable predictable cash flows, high client retention rates, favorable industry conditions, client and geographic diversity and a strong and experience management team. Mr. Holland will also discuss specific challenges present to the Aramark treasury group as a result of the deal.
